2026 Special Assessment Budget Ratification: Directed Proxy Instructions

Hello Press Homeowners,



The official notice of the 2025 Special Assessment Budget Ratification should be arriving soon by mail, if it hasn't already. The Budget Packet is also attached at the bottom of this email.



A Directed Proxy is included in the mailer, and a fillable version is attached at the bottom of this email. Please find some Proxy guidelines below:



- It is important to complete and return the Directed Proxy to our office if you are unable to attend the ratification meeting in person. You are encouraged to return your proxy if you are unsure if you will be able to attend. Your attendance at the meeting will supersede the proxy so there is no risk in returning it just in case you can't make it.

-Proxies may be emailed to press@cwdgroup.com, or mailed to our office at 2800 Thorndyke Ave W, Seattle, WA 98199. You are encouraged to submit via email to avoid any potential delay in the USPS delivery. As well, your submission will be acknowledged via email so you can be confident your vote was received and counted.



-The RCW regarding Budget Ratifications is included below. In summary, in order to reject the budget the majority of the membership must be in attendance at the meeting in person or by proxy. Should a majority be present, the majority of the membership in total (not just those present) must vote to reject.

Per RCW 64.90.525, ‘Unless at that meeting the unit owners of units to which a majority of the votes in the association are allocated as specified in the declaration reject the budget, the budget and the assessments against the units included in the budget are ratified, whether or not a quorum is present.’
